“Totally Killer”,
available on Amazon
Prime, is a wonderfully fun, comedy/hor-
ror film about a small town where three
high school students were murdered by a
serial killer back in 1987. When the serial
killer returns 35 years later to claim
another victim, 17-year-old Jamie travels
back in time to stop the killer before he
even starts. If you lived in the 1980’s, the
film makes some fun comparisons about
how much life has changed in the past 30
years. For example, Jamie manages to get
the killer’s DNA and turns it over to the
police, only to realize it will be several
more years before DNA testing becomes
common practice. Traveling through time
creates its own set of problems with any
change made in the past altering the
future. Still, what if you could interact
with a lost loved one? This film will keep
you smiling and entertained. On my scale
as to what I would pay to see this film,
“Totally Killer” receives $8.
“Knock at the Cabin” i

on Amazon Prime. A family living in a
remote cabin is visited by strangers who
tell them they must choose someone to
die in order to prevent cataclysmic
disasters. Choosing no one may result in
the world ending. Could this possibly be
real? The family must decide! This is the
latest from M. Night Shyamalan. This
movie grabs your attention and keeps hold
of it until the end. The movie’s main fault
is the plot itself. But, if you can suspend
disbelief, you will find this film
compelling. On my scale,
“Knock at the
Cabin” gets $6.
I have been trying to include one
inspiring selection each month. In honor
of Veteran’s Day, I highly recommend
“The Pacific”, a 10-part HBO series
now streaming on Netflix.
“The Pacific”
follows the experiences of 3 Marines in
separate units of the 1st Marine Division.
The stories told are based on actual
accounts of Marines who served in the
Pacific theater. The series feels very real,
is intense & frightening and gives a
renewed sense of gratitude to the veterans
who have served our country.
On my
scale, this series is nearly perfect and
scores way above $10.
